Top 3 Dating Commandments

There are tons for tips and rules, written and unspoken, about how to behave and treat others when it comes to dating.  Do this, act like that. There are so many possibilities and behaviors to take into account.  Here's a quick survey of 3 top dating commandments from willing participants.  Please add your own in the comment section.

Lindsay K.
1. Be Honest.
2. It's him/her, not you.
3. Have fun.

Single Male, age 29.
1. Ask questions.  The first date is an interview for "them."
2. Short concise voice mails go a long way.
3. If Alamo Drafthouse and Town Lake top their favorite activities, don't expect much else.

Single Male, age 36.
1. Honesty.
2. Show interest in the other person.
3. Being open minded to other people and what they have to offer.

Coupled Female, age 30
1. Honest.
2. Funny.
3. No major physical flaws.

Married Male, age 32.
1. Open Doors.
2. Pay.
3. Drink Booze, but not too much.

Married Female, age 34.
1. Don't co-habitat until there's a ring on your finger.
2. Never change your name.
3. Don't get married.

Married Male, age 36.
1. Take them somewhere I like.
2. Clean my car before the date.
3. Clean my room.

Lauren K.
1. Men should have a plan A and plan B for the first date.
2. You should have both your heart and eyes open on day 1. Don't be blinded by the red flags.
3. Have fun. It is all a learning experience.

1. Don't assume he/she knows the "rules" on a first date.
2. Keep an open mind.
3. Laugh! You will remember the things you laughed at the most.
