Online dating not working for you? Try a Love Doll

Written by Lindsay K. of Love Kudos

The National Geographic Channel has a series regarding Taboos. The episode called Strange Love, explores four taboo love options: arranged marriages in Nepal, polygamy, negotiated infidelity, and Love Dolls.

The last taboo perked my ears and as I watched the part on love dolls, a cloud appeared above my head that said, "Really?"

In the episode, there are two separate males being interviewed who decided that the process of dating and courting a woman had alienated them and they chose to purchase life sized silicon based female imitations.  One guy has been "married" to his doll with purple hair for 10 years.  The other man has more than 5 real dolls, so he can have his pick.  These men talk to, dress, brush their hair, massage them, and even physically carry the dolls out in public.  You might have never heard of this before and maybe never wanted to, but I thought it was interesting how some men are willing trade real life for something imitation. I'd rather be alone, than with the wrong doll...I mean person.

Any of these women spark your interest?

LOVE DOLLS

You can purchase your doll: male, female, or she-male.  According to Real Doll's Website: http://www.realdoll.com, Love Dolls can be purchased for the base price of $5,999.  They are approximately 5'2" and weigh 70-80 pounds.  You can choose, hair color and style, eye color, nail color, lip color, ethnic facial features, skin tones, eye shadow, eye liner, pubic hair and color is an optional.  If you wish, you can also choose to have your she-male, with permanent or attachable parts.  They also have shoes, clothes, costumes, and accessories.  Do you have your credit card ready?

  • Doll lovers can sometimes be referred to “iDollators,” and seek a community of others online, mashing together the ideas of art and pornography that brings a very thin line between desire, lust, and fetishism.
  • The reason for having a love doll varies among owners. Psychiatrists say there’s no one common denominator behind owners.
  • Psychiatrists also say that for some men, doll love can hinder normal emotional development, since intimacy with real people is an important part of maturity.
  • The risk is that some men carry on the complete control over the dolls onto relationships with real women, which may inflict harm, emotionally and physically.

To conclude:  I've often wondered if I will be alone for the rest of my life, but I never thought of purchasing a doll to fill the void of not having a man in my life.  I am now taking donations so I can purchase my own male doll.  Just kidding!  I don't recommend anyone to purchase these dolls.  I'd first recommend getting a pet, like a dog or a cat.  I do recommend to have continued patience and hope in finding love.  Love Kudos can offer you guidance and support to help meet that special REAL someone.  If you feel you lack skills to attract a potential date, then practice and educate yourself on how others do it.
